Opening:

The regular meeting of the Chicagoland Radio Control Modelers was called to order at 7:33 P.M on March 5, 2010 in Schaumburg Airport lower level Meeting Room by President Greg Palace.

27 members total including officers.

Approval of Minutes The minutes of the previous meeting were read and accepted without corrections.

Bylaws are available at any club meeting and are on table in front.

Email received from Andy Petlak concerning True Rc and Als Hobby to identify as CRCM club member when ordering or purchasing to receive credits this applies to website also.

Letter was sent to Forest Preserve outlining our wish list. No timetable from Forest Preserve as to answer. Copy of Letter available at table in front.

Reminder that starting benches are for starting only .

New Member Tsutomu Kiyono from Japan will be here for 2 years.

Certificate of appreciation given to Terry D’Anca for Fun Fly Cd for 2009.

New Business

Winter Fun Fly is this Sunday March 7, 2010. Round 1 will be loops , rolls touch and goes. Second round not identified yet. A head count was issued for chili to served at fun fly, 13 total counted.

Fun Fly CD Dave Golubski talked about Fun Fly program and dates. 1st is April 18th, 2nd May 16th, 3rd is June 6th, 4th is August 8th, 5th is September 12th with makeup September 26th. Change this year Fun Fly start time to be 9:30 A.M and plan to go for 3 – 4 hrs.

Food and drinks will be at all fun fly’s , Some basic routines and some new items added. Andy Petlak is teamed up with Dave to run program.

Terry D’Anca questioned date of August 8th and advised of conflict with IMAC event. Date can be changed and new date will be set at next meeting.

Permits will be pulled for all fun fly and events, including canopy and food.

Al Brose brought up permit issues after speaking with Forest Preserve the permit provides us the sole use of the field for hours indicated on permit.

Permits for all events to be posted at impound, along with calendar of events.

Budget issued to membership for review and approval, after discussion budget was voted on and approved . Vote was unanimous.

Seed money issued for events, the club would like returned.

Newsletter discussed and several members opted for email version to save club money on mailing which as of now costs $500 per year. Should you wish an email copy please advise the club to add your name to list.

Bylaws were issued and 2 items were discussed for change, item 4g to be changed from dues paying members in good standing to all members in good standing. Terry d’Anca made motion to accept new wording. Motion seconded and voted on. Vote was unanimous.

Bylaw item 4b issued for change to clarify fiscal year ending. Adding in parenthesis which coincides with the calendar year. Brian Nowak made motion to accept, motion seconded and voted on. Vote was unanimous.

Dave Rosenblatt made motion to change date from February 2010 to March 2010. Motion seconded and voted on. Vote was unanimous.

Tips and Tricks

Dave Rosenblatt – Tip to keep batteries warm in winter use large size hand warmers approx10x8 cost about 1.99 put in transmitter case and keeps batteries warm.

Terry D’Anca – CA glue use kicker with Q­tip to apply reduce usage. Dana Berry – Keep CA in jar in refrigerator to prevent tipping over.

Terry D’Anca – Glue a scrap piece of 4×4 balsa to bottom of jar to provide more stability for glue jar. Terry D’Anca – To keep monokote from drying out keep in a large glad garbage bag.
