Meeting opened 7:30 pm – President Marcellino Presiding

Attendance: (15) members & (0) guests

I. Announcements:

1.  Membership / AMA dues are due.

2.  Fun Fly #4, Aug. 3rd (Climb & Glide) #1-Marcellino.

3.  Big Bird & Club Picnic, Aug. 10th, Great Success, Special   thanks to Brian D. and Billie for coordinating the event.

4.  Float Fly, August 16th, 8am-Noon. No members attended.

5.  Night Fly #3, August 30th, Great Success! 

6.  Fun Fly #5, September 7th, 9:00am – Pylon Racing

7.  Float Fly, September 13th, 8:00am to 12:00pm. McHenry Cty.

8.  Scale Fly In – September 14th, 9:30am, Jim Collins coordinating.

9.  Harper Training Day, September 27th, 9am to Noon.

  1. Volunteers Needed.

10. Golf outing (Golf Club of Illinois), Oct. 5th, $50/person – Al Brose coordinating.

  1. Four (4) foursomes so far.

11.  Forest Preserve / Field Updates: NONE.

  1. Brian D./Mike C. will follow-up with Forest Preserve in November as FP budget is being finalized.

II. Meeting Minutes (Mike Celli, Secretary)

  1. Minutes read by Mike Celli for August 1st, 2025 meeting and accepted.

III. Treasurer’s Report (Kevin Peterson, Treasurer)

1. Treasurer’s report read by Kevin Peterson and accepted.

IV. Committee Reports: NONE.

V. Unfinished Business: NONE.

VI. New Business: 1) Joe S. wants to confirm CRCM Swap-n-Shop for April 2026. Swap-n-Shop is tentatively approved for April 2026, 2) Bob Carroll brought up two points:

  1. Table umbrella stems have been broken. Club needs two or three umbrellas and possibly a pole stand under the tables to prevent the umbrellas from touching the ground.

  • Pat D. reminded the Club that Club apparel can be purchased at planecrazystuff.com.

VII. Entertainment: NONE.

VIII. Tips & Tricks: 1) Pat D. reminded the club to use servo cable extension clips to keep the extension wires together, 2) Pat D. also reminded pilots to put ID’s in their planes in case they are found in the field and need to be returned.

IV. Model of the Month: Tyler showed off his foamie HOOKLL Corsair.

X. Raffle (Jim Collins, Vice President) – White Ticket Winner $65 – Billie.
