We had a great winter Fun Fly this Sunday. Greg Ross hosted / CD’ed the event. Special thanks to Greg. Greg came up with new idea of flying the plane to altitude and then doing 15 spins while plummeting to the earth as a timed event.
It was great fun and the first four fliers finished in the following order: Brian Nowak – 44.82 seconds; Ed Kamm – 46.22 seconds; Bob Carroll – 47.47 seconds and Ken Ward – 50.03 seconds.
It should be noted the Greg Ross would have certainly won with a time of 35.97 seconds at 14.5 turns if he had not run out of airspace by performing an instant landing. Also, Ray Donati was kind enough to put on a riveting air show with close order acrobatics over the spectators in the pit. It would not be an exaggeration to say that he had the absolute attention of all the other club members.
