Meeting Report for August 6th, 2021
Meeting opened 7:30 pm – President Marcellino presiding.
Attendance: (14) members & (3) guests
- Club welcomed Jeff, Tyler and Steve.
Announcements:
1. Reminder to pay Club and FAA membership dues.
2. Harper College Trainer Day occurred and was a great success. At least one student joined as a result of this event. The Club will look into further opportunities for similar events with Harper College.
3. Fun Fly #3 occurred.
4. Night Fly #3 occurred.
5. Big Bird / Club Picnic witll be August 8th, 9:00 am to 2:00 pm.
6. Fun Fly #4 will be August 15th, 9:00 am to NOON.
7. Night Fly #4 will be August 28th, 6:00 pm to Midnight.
8. Club donation from RAM Hobbies, Brian T. Many thanks to Brian for his generous donation to the Club.
9. 2021 40th Annual Swap-N-Shop will be held this year. Additional items to sell was provided by the estate of the late Walter Ingstrup. Many thanks to the family of Walter for the estate donation.
10. Club acknowledged the passing of Ed Bywalec, longtime Club member and good friend to many. Eddie will be missed greatly.
Minutes of July 9th meeting: Read by Kevin P. and accepted.
Treasury Report: Given by Treasurer Kevin Peterson and accepted.
Guests: New Club Members Jeff and Tyler were welcomed to the Club.
Committee Reports: Dana Berry is coordinating the Club Banquet November 13th at Moretti’s in Mount Prospect.
Old Business: None.
New Business: Rick B. brought up the possibility of having Club hats, shirts and jackets available for purchase. The Club will look into restocking these items.

- Brian D. – Use a 100 ohm resistor to safely discharge LiPo batteries that are no longer useful.
