Meeting Called to Order 7:30 pm.


President Marcellino Presiding.

I. Attendance: (13) Members & (3) Guests

II. Announcements:

1.  Membership / AMA dues are due (2026)

2.  CRCM Swap Meet (April 18th) – Joe S Organized

a. Cleared $593.87

 

3.  Harper Drone Experience & Safety Day (April 25th)

a. Interest in Static Display at Event (Pat & Ken)

 

4.  Fun Fly #2, May 3rd – Pat/Ken Organizing 

(High Speed / Low Speed)

 

5.  Harper College Training Day will be May 9th.

6.  Gun Range Event Changed to May 17th, 7:00am – 8:30am.

7.  Night Fly’s have been confirmed for 5/30, 6/27, 7/25, 8/29.

8.  Fun Fly #3, June 7th – Pat/Ken Organizing.

9.  Jim Collins got current meeting room reserved for 2027. Thanks Jim!

10.  Forest Preserve Update: David Panitch (Forest Preserve) stated that field evaluations have been delayed. Mr. Panitch will give CRCM an update later in 2026.

III. Meeting Minutes (Secretary Mike Celli)

1. April meeting minutes read by Mike Celli and accepted.

IV. Treasurer’s Report (Kevin Peterson, Treasurer)

1. Treasurer’s report read by Kevin Peterson and accepted.

  • Total – $8,285.40

  • Note: Marcellino raised a motion to use some Club money towards the Club banquet and for Big Bird/Picnic food. Motion was well received by present Members.

  • V. Recognition of Guests and New Members (Marcellino)

  • 1. Gentleman and two sons interested in Hobby.

  • VI. Committee Reports: None.

  • VII. New Business: 

  • Bob Carroll relayed a couple safety incidents that happened in Nevada occurring with electric and gas airplanes; serious injuries. BE CAREFUL!

    Brian D. raised a motion to hire an outside company to deep clean the field. President Marcellino suggested to get some price quotes to present to the membership at next meeting.

  • VIII. Entertainment: None. 
  • IX:  Tips and Tricks:  Jim Collins relayed information regarding a shrink wrap (clear) called Doculam. Works good for covering airframes and can be painted.

  • X.  Model of the Month:  Brian D. showed off his 3D printed Cowl for his Cub airplane. Thanks to Tyler for his help with the 3D printing.

  • XI.  Model of the Month: None.

  • XII. Raffle (Jim Collins, Vice President)

  • 1.  White ticket – Brian T. – $70.
